Someone once said that the greatest gift parents can give their children is to show them that they love each other more than anything, even them. After all, the love we have for each other is the reason our kids are here. It is the foundation of our family, the firm footing and warm embrace in the strong arms of which our children feel safe, secure, and truly happy - deep down happy. Kids shouldn't be worried about their Mom and Dad splitting up. Instead they should spend their time and worries … [Read more...]
A House FULL of Tattletales!
None of our kids would do well in prison. They would all be in protective custody for being SNITCHES! ‘Guard! Bubba stole my shank and he won't give it back! Guard! We mothers often wait in anticipation, hoping that this meal will be the delight of her family. Other times, we give up knowing that the award of “favorite” is often bestowed upon an undeserving restaurant that probably just zaps the food in a microwave or pumps it full of unpronounceable things that read like a science experiment. Although at times I have given up, the hope still … [Read more...]
JUNK Food – We don’t pay for it but we get it anyway!

ENDLESS ways in which one’s children can acquire various random items of JUNK food that have nothing whatsoever to do with said parents giving it to them! Grandparents, relatives, Sunday school teachers, daycare workers, school teachers, barbers, waitresses who think they will get on your good side by bribing the kiddos with sweeties, doctor … [Read more...]
