March 5, 2012 by Kim

I really LOVE a quick all-in-one meal that my family raves about yet requires very minimal effort. Add a bonus of being super healthy and you've got my Easy Chicken Spinach Casserole! I have read countless recipes and take a little of what I like and change it to suit my family needs and tastes. Feel free to tweak it to your tastes. Cooking is meant to be enjoyed and flavored by our unique personalities! I tend to lean to the cheesey side of life--as you will come to find out! … [Read more...]

The Ultimate Feta-Burger Steak

February 26, 2012 by Scott

This dish takes plain ole’ hamburger meat to an entirely different level. It’s so juicy and full of flavor that once you’ve tried it you’ll probably never want to go back to regular hamburger steaks again! Here is what you’ll need: 1 lb hamburger meat (90% lean) ½ cup oatmeal (quick oats) ½ cup feta cheese (or more, to preference) 1 tsp Italian Seasoning 1 medium onion 4 medium mushrooms (or as many as you would like!) Pinch of salt, pepper, and basically any other spice … [Read more...]

Let’s face it, EVERY mom DREAMS of hearing her children say how very much they appreciate and enjoy her cooking. We mothers often wait in anticipation, hoping that this meal will be the delight of her family. Other times, we give up knowing that the award of “favorite” is often bestowed upon an undeserving restaurant that probably just zaps the food in a microwave or pumps it full of unpronounceable things that read like a science experiment. Although at times I have given up, the hope still … [Read more...]

JUNK Food – We don’t pay for it but we get it anyway!

February 15, 2012 by Scott

Parents of small children know that it’s very difficult to escape the constant, perpetual, unrelenting, ceaseless, unwavering (aren’t Thesauruses cool?) ENDLESS ways in which one’s children can acquire various random items of JUNK food that have nothing whatsoever to do with said parents giving it to them! Grandparents, relatives, Sunday school teachers, daycare workers, school teachers, barbers, waitresses who think they will get on your good side by bribing the kiddos with sweeties,  doctor … [Read more...]
